Congressus XIV Internationalis Fenno-Ugristarum
The 14th International Congress for Finno-Ugric Studies
Congressus Internationalis Fenno-Ugristarum (CIFU) is the most important international academic event for research on the Finno-Ugric (Uralic) languages, cultures, literature, folklore, art, music, religions, history, genetics, and archaeology. Since 1960, the Congress has been organized every five years. The 14th International Congress for Finno-Ugric Studies (CIFU XIV) will take place on August 18–23 2025 in Tartu, Estonia. The congress is organized by the University of Tartu Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics.

- Please send an updated version of your abstract (with name, affiliation, and possible updates/revisions based on the reviewers’ comments) to our e-mail cifu14@ut.ee by March 17 2025.
- Registration for the congress is now open, see more information in the Third Circular.
- Early-bird registration deadline: April 30, late-bird registration deadline: June 30.
- Registration deadline for excursions: June 1.
